Blockbuster

It turns out Blockbusters are not completely connected between Canada and the States. Last night several friends and I decided to rent a movie. None of us had an account at any rental store in Canada. I found that a bit weird. Anyway, I decided I’d go rent a movie somewhere. After going to Jumbo Video and remembering how badly they suck, I ended up at Blockbuster. I was partially worried that their computer system was connected with the States and that they’d see the fine I got from returning a movie late when I was home in fall. Luckily they aren’t connected. Apparently if I had my card they could have called the States and gotten my account information. Conveniently I left my card back home. So after showing them my credit card and my “valid without photo” Pennsylvania drivers license, I got a new Blockbuster card with a little red maple leaf on it. We rented Changing Lanes, which is about a crazy conflict two men get into after a minor car accident interrupts their busy day and potentially alters their lives in significant ways. It wasn’t a bad movie, but I didn’t find it to be anything special. Lots of drama and plenty of example of how not to resolve conflicts.
