Hanging out back home

23 May 2003

I haven’t been in to work much this week. I’m waiting for them to figure out what they want me to do. It seems like they have work to do, but don’t have the organization. So I’ve been hanging out at home, messing around with my new Linux install and working on another project for MDS. I’ve actually been surprised by how well Linux is working for me. I can do everything I used to do in Windows and I’m still liking the look after a week. There were a couple of things I had to mess with to get working the way I wanted, but most things work “out of the box”.

Last night I hung out with Ron, Josh and Pete in Josh’s new $25 hot tub. And by $25 I don’t mean it sucks, it’s actually pretty good, it just amazing that they got it so cheap. But that’s the Dukemans. Always looking for and finding the good deals. It was good times catching up and reminiscing about the high school days. And there will be more of that as Ron and Josh will be around here all summer.
