The remembering shower
11 Jul 2003
Two things I remembered while showering, that I wanted to blog.
- Down at EMU something called Dumpster Diving was mentioned several times. Apparently there is a Frito Lay factory close by where there’s a dumpster (at least one) that gets filled with outdated or soon to be outdated bags of Tostitos. It is a common activity to go down there an bring back 20+ bags of chips. I gotta find me a dumpster like that. I wonder if Hershey has any : )
- A couple days ago I got home and per usual, my brother was listening to NPR. They are just finishing up some story and I hear the closing music. It some instramental version of something familar and I think back to what it could be. No way… it’s Warren G. Regulators….. Mount Up !!! Not something I expect from NPR. Apparently they were right at the end of a piece on some sort of government regulation or something. I’m sure most listeners wouldn’t have picked up on it, but it made my day.
Note: taking a shower, or sometimes just walking into a bathroom seems to make me remember and think about things. It’s worked in the past when doing some difficult homework problems. Of course the trick is to not attempt to remember.

hey matty your faithful comment person. You should get some of your pictures up on your site. Get that digital camera working for ya. Sounds like fun at EMU. Dumpster divin’ eh? I’ve heard of it, but more in the picking up old antiques way
Give me some feedback on my site. I’ve been putting up some pics from camping and put a title image there, I don’t know how the scripting for it works though. I think you may have changed some stuff for me to make it work. All for now
The Tim Hortons across from Ethel’s has 2 large green bins that look like recycling bins. In there you can find day-old donuts, cakes, pies and more!
